let me start by saying i was born and raised as a jehovah’s witness.
i’m thankful that i was raised this way, because i feel it protected me in some ways, especially with regard to moral issues.

Paul's letters were written decades before the anonymous gospels were written.
Why did nobody tell the gospel author of the update?
So did that mean that jesus wasn't aware of the future update?
Still waiting for the independent and verified evidence that there was a miracle worker called jesus?
I'm just being sarcastic now ,fed up with the circular reasoning, that the bible proves the bible.

A young rich man asked jesus what must I do to get everlasting life, jesus said to keep the commandments and sell his riches and give to the poor, off he went ,
That now middle aged rich man meets Paul and asks him the same question but now is told that he must have faith in the blood of jesus to have everlasting life.
Is jesus right and Paul's wrong or is Paul right and jesus wrong or are they both wrong or right?
Religion's today each have their own interpretation of the bible and so believe slightly different things, so are all right or all wrong?

I asked for independently verified evidence that a miracle worker called jesus even existed .
Paul claims that jesus spoke to him on the road to Damascus so if there is no evidence that he was a real person who performed miracles etc ,and that fact that the four anonymous gospels were written after the writings of Paul. Who or what did Paul base his writing on?
Its a discussion forum I was just joining the discussion.

In one of his YouTube videos he said that there are about half a million errors some of which are insignificant and others where whole verses are changed..
But let's accept your statement, bart has used these documents to disprove the jesus story from beginning to end, virgin birth right through to the fake trial and the crucifixion account and burial and empty tomb story.
Bart also confirms that the four gospels were written decades after the so called events by unknown authors and that Paul's letters were written before the four gospels accounts.
You have yet to provide any independently verified evidence that the jesus story is true.
Regarding there being many copies of the books of the bible ,bart has said that this is because scribes were paid for this work it was their job.

And yet bart Ehrman doesn't believe that jesus was anything more than just a man because of his extensive studies of these fragments and it led him to stop believing that the bible is the word of god and he stopped being a fundamental Christian.
Many of his lectures are available on YouTube would highly recommend you watch them.
Professor James tabor another biblical scholar also has very interesting videos on YouTube about the new testament.

There is no original copy of any New Testament document.
I'm aware of that ,so my question is as Christians how can you with any certainty believe that anything anyone said or did in the bible actually happened?
That thing's may have been deliberately embellished or been lost in translation or included to fit the beliefs of the individuals making the copies?
For me facts are more important than faith since l stopped being a jw.

The idea of justification seems to be a concept developed by Paul, as there are no original copies of his letters, earliest about the 3rd century.
How can you be sure that the true meaning has not been altered or lost in translation ?

Is there any independent evidence that has been verified by independent experts that a miracle worker jesus ever existed and died and was resurrected.
The four gospels accounts were written decades after the so called events and by unknown authors, so not eyewitness accounts.
Saul/Paul not a eyewitnes.
At the supposed death of jesus the sky went dark for three hours, earthquake,the temple curtain ripped in two ,the holy ones walked out of their tombs, even someone who wasn't interested in jesus would have noticed these things.
No mini facts please.
And that millions of people believe something doesn't make it true.

Can God Change his Mind?

does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?.
when the god you worship pronounces judgement, is he, really just issuing a warning or has the matter been determined through all the godly powers of insight, foresight and perfect judgement?

Man has created thousands of main gods ,each culture through human history has had many gods or just one .
Apollo, Poseidon, Zeus, cronus, dionysus hades etc.
